How your birth cards are calculated
Your date of birth is split into four two-digit numbers (month + day + first two digits of the year + last two digits of the year) and added together. A total above 21 is reduced by adding its digits until it lands on a Major Arcana number. That gives your first card; reducing it once more to a single digit gives your second (a single digit gets 9 added instead). If the number 19 appears, you receive three cards: The Sun, The Wheel of Fortune and The Magician.

How to calculate your tarot birth card

- Split your birth date into four two-digit numbers: month + day + the first two digits of the year + the last two digits of the year.
- Add them together. If the total is 21 or lower, that number is your first card.
- If the total is higher than 21, add its digits together until you reach a number from 1 to 21. For a three-digit total, add the first two digits to the third digit.
- Find your second card by reducing your first number once more to a single digit. If the first number is already a single digit, add 9 to find its partner.
